This violin bears an original label reading ‘Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1679’ and is named after the collector P. R. Parera of Manchester, England. Among several fine instruments, Mr. P. R. Parera owned three Stradivari violins dating to 1679, 1710, and 1722 respectively.
