Antonio Stradivari (violin) N.N. – 1703

This instrument is a typical example of Stradivari’s ‘Golden Period’ and it was manufactured in 1703 as stated by the original label, which it still bears. Despite the fact that this violin was played for more than sixty years by the renowned violinist Lilian Foulis of Edinburgh, Scotland and subsequently by the English violinist Raymond Cohen, it has so far remained unnamed.
